The federal retirement system is divided into two main programs: the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS). FERS is the newer system, covering federal employees hired after 1984, while CSRS applies to those who joined the federal workforce before that year. Because the number of active CSRS workers is currently less than 1% of the US federal workforce, we don’t hold specific webinars for CSRS employees but we are still able to help!
